For over 30 years, mission has been one of our key areas of ministry. With a missionary family of over 35 serving in the home front and overseas, we are committed to raising up missionaries from our own congregation. We stand behind those we have sent to the field and support them in prayer and finances.
Annual Missionary Convention has been the highlight of our missions programme. International guest speakers are invited to inspire and challenge our people to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who don’t know Him. Faith Promise and Love Gift offerings are collected to support our missionary family.
Mission Nurture Group is conducted to assist those who express an interest and desire for missions, to help them discover what missionary life may entail. Occasionally, the Missions Perspective on world Christian Movement course is run. This course is highly recommended for any mature Christian.
Becoming a missionary is a process. Depending on circumstances, this may involve Bible College studies, internship with a missions agency or other related studies.
The Missions Leadership Team (MLT) together with the pastors and elders monitor a prospective missionary’s progress until the person is ready to be commissioned to serve in the mission field with prayer and practical support. There is constant contact and prayer for all our missionary family including Thursday night missionary prayer meeting.
