Our ‘Ministry to Children’ exists within CrossCulture‘s Family Ministry and upholds the church’s vision for an Acts 2 community, supports the mission to ‘Encounter God, Encounter Community’.
Mission
CrossCulture Kids Mission Statement
To partner with the families in teaching their children and other children in growing their understanding about God and deeper relationship with Him (encounter God), where they want to actively share His love for others (encounter community).
Scriptures
- Deuteronomy 6:5-7 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
- Proverbs 22:6 “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
CrossCulture Kids Vision Statement
To reach the children to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Values
- Bible and Christ-Centred — our programming and curriculum are Christ-centred and everything is based on bible.
- Child targeted — we provide a friendly and warm place with age appropriate activities and teaching.
- Safety — physically, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually.
- Relevant and Creative teaching — that is oriented to reach today’s kids.
- Fun — a place for all kids who walk through our door.
Programs
All programs are held during Sunday 9am service during School Term.
Little Lambs (aged 2-3 years old)
Most of the time in Little Lambs consisted of free play where leaders and helpers model their behaviours and interact with the children. The program also incorporates teaching, quiet time, song singing, and snack time. Little Lambs is held in Price Hall.
GIGGLE (aged 4-5 years old)
This group program consists a small component of free play, teaching, verse memorising, song singing, craft activities, and snack time. GIGGLE is held in Chapel Hall Annex.
Kid’s Church (aged 6-11 years old)
Kid’s Church starts of hanging out with each other and leaders informally through games. Study introduction, worship, offering, group discussion, bible verse memorising, and games are typically Sunday morning for Kid’s Church. Kid’s Church is held in Lower Knox Basement.
