Symon has been a leader in youth & young adult ministry for over 20 years, having volunteered at churches, campsites & for Scripture Union. In 1997 he completed a Business Degree, majoring in marketing at the Queensland University of Technology. In 1999 he transferred within Telstra from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast to work as a marketing manager.Symon married Melanie in June of 2003, and they moved to Melbourne in August of 2004 on the completion of Melanie’s degree. They have been attending CrossCulture since moving to Melbourne and Symon joined the staff in the Family Ministry department in February 2006.
Symon is currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Divinity at Ridley College. He is passionate about teaching, training & developing youth leaders so that they in turn will be equipped to minister effectively into the lives of the youth at CrossCulture.
