Rob & Ruth became Christians on 11th April 1976 at the Dapto Church of Christ, NSW. For the next fifteen years they served in different roles including Sunday School and youth work. In 1978 Rob became a deacon of that church, and an elder around 1980. In 1985, he was registered as a NSW Churches of Christ minister and was authorised by the government to solemnise marriages.
In late 1992, Rob & Ruth commenced fellowship with an independent, multicultural church, in which Rob was endorsed as an elder after two years. At both churches, Rob conducted dedication, baptismal, wedding and funeral services. In addition to their local church service, they have also participated in various Beach Mission roles (10 years) and lead Marriage Preparation and Enrichment courses (since 1986). Rob has participated in Lifeline counselling, Bible study leadership and preached in Presbyterian, Baptist and Churches of Christ churches at their invitation.
In May 2000 Rob & Ruth moved to Melbourne and have attended SSCoC services since July 2000. At CrossCulture Rob and Ruth have sought to actively support cell ministry, Ladies fellowship, home visitation and one-on-one discipleship. A considerable amount of Rob & Ruth's time is spent working with young couples in Marriage Preparation and Enrichment.
