Communion at CrossCulture is served in every service.
If you haven't attended worship for a while or you have just begun a journey of faith you might wonder why Christians celebrate Communion/The Lord's Supper so regularly and what it really means!
Initiated by Jesus himself on the His last supper with His disciples, Christians all over the world now share the bread and the cup during communion/the Lord's Supper regularly to remember His sacrificial death on the cross.
It is a time of thanksgiving and celebration as we remember that Jesus died on the cross for our sin, and that through His sacrifice we have forgiveness of sin.
It is a time to reflect upon the past and confess our sins to God, as well as look to the future with hope, purpose and promise that because He conquered death we too have the promise of eternal life.
So, why do we do communion? Because we want to remember that God has demonstrated His own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. "
